My First Farm
A fenced, one-acre plot and two small greenhouses in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Much of the acre is shaded and one-third receives full sun. In 2018, the farm team built 20 beds including two trellised beds. My regenerative farm plan for season one was to grow sun-loving vegetable crops in the sunny area. In season two and three, 2019 and 2020, we've started growing shade loving herbs and next year, we'll start mushrooms under trees. |
